NBC Electronics Group: a new photovoltaic plant

To produce renewable energy and safeguard the environment

The “fight” against pollution is just beginning, and the use of photovoltaic systems has positive implications both economically and environmentally. In this regard, NBC Electronics Group has reaffirmed its commitment to environmental sustainability and investment in the future of the country and the generations to come.

In light of the energy goals set by the UN Agenda 2030, Italy has promoted the widespread distribution of photovoltaics, positioning itself among the top for electricity consumption produced cleanly with zero emissions.

There are many advantages for those who choose to use renewable energy sources:

  • production of clean energy;
  • environmental benefits;
  • savings on the bill;
  • tax deductions for those who install solar panels and photovoltaic systems;
  • lifespan of the system: over 25 years;
  • development of electric mobility: the electric car can be powered by renewable energy.

An environmental commitment for a better future

NBC Electronics Group, a leading Italian company in industrial weighing systems, is aware of the importance and benefits of using renewables, particularly photovoltaics, for sustainable development. For this reason, it has recently inaugurated a new plant that will cover a significant part of the energy consumption of the production sector.

Here are the characteristics of the plant, the result of collaboration with Lumenwatt:

  • it consists of 264 photovoltaic modules installed on the roof,
  • with a power of 120.12 kWp,
  • able to generate 120 MWh/year (approximately the annual consumption of 40 families)
  • it covers, thanks to self-consumption, about 50% of the electricity needs of the company.

The energy generated in this way helps to avoid the emission of 64 tonnes of CO2 annually, equivalent to 384 trees planted.

NBC Electronics, CSR and code of ethics

For years, NBC Electronics Group has emphasized its commitment to social and environmental sustainability, in line with its code of ethics.

“NBC made this choice not only to reduce energy expenses but also to contribute to the energy transition, which among its essential pillars includes the use of renewable energy sources – they comment from the group -. Furthermore, an energy efficiency path has been initiated, starting with relamping, which involves replacing existing lighting fixtures with new fixtures incorporating LED technology that provide a energy saving of over 50%. We also plan to replace process equipment with new, more efficient ones, also in line with the Transition 4.0 plan.”
